Okay, Okay I apologise already! :o)

I'm the "villain of the piece" that commented on the Diamond Geezer Blogspot.

I come bearing an olive branch.

Your Square looks exquisite and is truly evocative of one of traditional London (well, certainly one of her many faces lestways).

In my defence I'm just so tired of the growing tide of real Nimyism and it's stultifying effect on Londons development that I jump to conclusions a little too easily.

Good luck to the Square, it's dedicated band of residents and all who sail in her.

With warmest regards from the Nimby blighted East London/Essex borders.

I live right underneath the path of the Northern line on the corner of Clapham Road and Dorset Road. The constant rumble underneath when we first moved in was an annoyance at first.

I now view the mild noise as a reassuring presence that at least the line is running. It also serves as a good time check when the first train goes through shortly before 6am.

But yeah, given a choice, I would rather as I wasn't awoken by the rumblings. Great map!

Went out for a few beers and came back to look at Tweets in my TweetDeck and saw the original post and thought I'll have a look at that map in the morning and compare with todays Google Maps!

Then on scrolling up I saw the later Tweet to here.

Excellent comparison, I will have to look again in the morning at other area's of London. I love maps!

Ecellent new map as well.

Hello
I only managed to turn up for a very insufficient time. Thanks very much for organising this. There seemed to be a big group who went along on the day and it was very kind to offer home and expertise.

However
1. Is it still possible to buy these cheaper sash window kits??

2. I spoke to a couple of neighbours who hadnt heard about this- Could the Association review how they get out such info to locals who would love to know about such things but dont go often to the web site .

Many thanks

Hi Lee, there is a local carpenter who can do this type for you but the kit we have is DIY and is white uPVC. It is very effective and look pretty innocuous on a white window.

The letter cites lack of proof of the need for change of use, the incongruous and detrimental design, the terraces that would be a nuisance to neighbours, insufficient floor space, insufficient light, insufficient proof that there would be no parking problems.
