A great picture. A relative of mine lived in number 16 Thorne Road in 1900 – she was married but think that this was her grandparents’s house. Where in the street would this be and what type of people would they have possibly bee. I know that her grandfather was a railway police inspector. Thanks. Iain

Thanks for this Stefan. Its definitely worth checking out the Lambeth Landmark website, there are loads of Albert Square pictures and a couple of pre-war ones of Wilkinson Street as well as Aldebert and St Stephens.
